Here we are, 5 days in to this... TDY, and I am more than ready for my husband to be home. I know, it could be worse, he could be gone for months, or even a year!!! And all this comes with being a military wife. But man, I just want him home so we can cuddle and watch a movie... and so I am not the only one dealin with the kids 24/7... call me selfish!

I have been doing my best to keep the kids occupied these past few days. The days seem so long without Adam coming home from work everyday. So, we really don't have much to look forward to at night. I am trying to get them outside as much as possible, but it is SO hot out there!!! So, we haven't been getting out as much as we want to. I really want to take the kids bike riding, but I am scared to do that by myself with three kids! Nicholas can't pedel on his own yet, he still has a trike with a parent handle on the back. So, I would have Maddy in the carrier while pushing Nicholas, and Mackenzie would be on her bike being told over and over to stay close and out of the road. I suppose it doesn't sound that bad in writing. But the images of the situation going down in my head?? NOT PRETTY!

So, we've been jumping on the trampoline a bit. Or playing ball in the yard. Only lasting a few minutes out there. 20 at the most! Mackenzie doesn't handle the heat well. But she has been braving different moves on the trampoline! Nicholas, however... doesn't stay on it very long. I think he gets too hott too fast! So, we've been inside trying to find stuff to do as well. I bought a little spiderman basketball hoop. You know, the ones that college kids buy and put in their dorm rooms. Lol! Only, this one has good 'ole Spidey on it! Nicholas loves it! We've also been playing lots of games. Candyland, Elefun, memory, fingerpainting, coloring. All that good stuff. Making messes! Haha! But, they have been entertained for the most part.

Madison has been keeping herself pretty happy too!!! Since she is sitting up so well by herself now, putting her down to do the dishes or entertain the other two has been much easier!!! At shower time for the older ones, I just put Maddybug on the floor in her room with some peek-a-blocks and her barn, girraffe, and turtle, and she is fine! She is perfect actually!!! Swatting away at everything and keeping herself happy!!! It has made the night time routine so much more bearable!!!
